Please take a moment to read these frequently asked questions about my services.

What’s included in your Web design service ?

You will get a content management system (CMS) in Wordpress, Typepad, Joomla or Blogger. This setup includes:

  • assistance in obtaining a domain name and setting up your Web space on a hosting service
  • site design comps with two rounds of revisions
  • conversion of design to the CMS of your choice
  • setup of CMS on your hosting service
  • CMS training for you and anyone else who needs to use the system
  • 30 days of free support and site adjustments (if needed) after site has gone live

A social media marketing plan or audio/video production is not included in this package. Please request a separate quote should you desire these services.

How much does this cost?

Because each site is different, it’s difficult to provide a base price. Therefore, we provide a custom quote based on the specifications you provided in your quote request.

How long does it take to get a site designed?

Typically, the entire process can take up to 60 days from the time you sign the work agreement to when the site goes live.

We produce sites on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you submit your work agreement, your project is placed into our production queue.

I don’t start work on a project until I receive payment.

Complex projects like e-commerce sites can take longer. Of course, each project is different, but I will work with you to establish a production schedule that is fair and reasonable for both parties.

I do not accept ‘Rush’ jobs.  Rush jobs are those where the entire site production would take 30 days or less to complete.

Do you offer custom artwork?

Yes. I create most of the designs used on client Web sites as well as use stock images and/or photography.

That said, I’m not an illustrator. If you require custom illustration or art, I will work with an artist to get the work done for you. Just let me know if you need this when you fill out the quote request.

Do you provide Web hosting?

I do not currently offer Web hosting, however, I recommend GoDaddy. My personal sites (including this one) are hosted there and I haven’t had any major issues with their service. I also have a few clients who host with them. No, I’m not a GoDaddy reseller nor am I on their payroll! I will happily set up your site on whatever hosting service you prefer.

What kind of training do I receive after my site is set up?

Our hands-on training sessions include:

  • an overview of your site’s control panel/dashboard
  • how to write and edit content
  • how to upload images and other media
  • how to create links to other Web sites
  • how to incorporate widgets and other content into your sidebars

Sessions usually last two-three hours.

What if I need help after the training session?

We offer unlimited phone and/or e-mail support up to 60 days after your site has gone live. After 60 days, there is a support fee of $75/hr.

What form of payment do you accept?

My preferred payment method is PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to send payment.

I also accept money order, certified check or bank draft. No personal checks accepted.
